Very fortunate today to receive a lovely email from the SWPP informing me that my recent submission was sufficient for me to be given my Licentiate.
What does this mean? Quite simply, I can now put LSWPP after my name and now work towards becoming an associate member. The images will also be published in a future edition of Professional Image Maker.

I’ve taken the plunge and I’m very pleased to say that I’m now a member of the SWPP, the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.
I see this as being another step along my journey, especially as it allows me to now work through their formal qualification system.
I’ve been toying with the idea of joining an organisation such as the MPA, RPS or SWPP but to be honest I really don’t know if it is for me or worth it. Then there is the problem of which one to join if I decide to go ahead. Continue reading Professional membership…is it worth it? »
