Don’t be fooled into thinking a successful photo-shoot is all about creating amazing images — the photography is only about 10-20%. Most of the work is in organising and leading your team. When you get that bit right, creating amazing images is far, far easier.

If you’ve ever been asked “how much do you charge for photography?” and been unsure what to say, I’ve written this article just for you.

When I first started to charge for my photography, I made a ton of mistakes. I was really busy and it generated a lot of referrals but I wasn’t earning any money. Worse still, all those client referrals expected the same price too, further compounding the situation.

Something had to change and this is what I did. I want to share it with you so you don’t make the same mistakes I did when I first started out.

New customers are the lifeblood of every business. In fact, they’re a necessity. Without them you don’t really have a business.

Everything we’ve covered in this series thus far has been internal to your business. We’ve looked at changes to your offering, sales process and customer touch points. Why? Because we want to get your customers buying more stuff from you at better margins. We’ve laid the groundwork to start looking now at driving more visitors to your gallery.
