Lighting Diagram Tool
The On-line Lighting Diagram Creator, brought to you by QH Photography, is a great tool and very easy to use too.
Use the library of built in shapes to quickly and easily sketch your lighting set-up. Whenever I use this tool I always follow this workflow:
- Place the background in the scene
- Add the subject and camera, rotating as required
- Next place your key light and modifier into the scene
- Add any secondary and fill lights, again with the correct modifiers
- Lastly, add your background lights and modifiers
Rotate and scale all the items in your set so they’re roughly in the correct positions and you should be good to go.
When you’re happy with your lighting diagram you can then export the image you’ve created (you’ll need to be mindful of any credits and links to accompany your diagram as required by the tool), and you’re all done.
It really is as easy as that to create lighting diagrams.
