It occurs to me now that in my previous post I spoke a lot about the journey but neglected to mention where I am aiming to get to. Doh. 😮

My ambition is to become a full-time, successful professional photographer by mid-2011. Why so long? Well, I have a family to support and this allows me sufficient time to build the business in terms of client base, equipment and expertise (not just in photography!) to allow this to happen. I’ll also have my mortgage paid off by then which will significantly help.

…actually, small confession, the journey began a few months ago but it wasn’t until recently that I had the idea of blogging about my plans.

So, what on earth am I talking about? And why Blog about it???

Well, I’m looking to make a lifestyle change. I’m preparing the ground now with a view to giving up on the day job change direction to become a professional photographer. Will I achieve this? To be honest, I don’t know but I’m very determined to succeed and so far I’ve made a lot of progress.  I’ve come a long way, but not nearly far enough yet
