I think it’s time for an overhaul of my blog. It’s served me well over the last few years an is now long overdue for an update.
It’s grown and evolved a lot since I first put it together but I’m feeling the need to have a more contemporary look and feel. I also want to add a few more features to the site and remove some of the stuff that isn’t really used.
Watch this space but if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Quick update….
The new site has been migrated over to the new hosting provider and been givn a major facelift. There’s still a lot to do but they’re mainly minor, cosmetic tweaks. You’ll notice I now have a whole new comment system in place. Hopefully that’ll encourage a bit more feedback in the years to come.
I think we’re almost there.
Well, I’ve spent a few days over Easter rebuilding and (hopefully!) imroving this blog. Past readers will see an immediate difference as I’ve decided to throw out the old look and go for something cleaner and more contemporary instead. It should also now be compatible with mobile devices too. Under the hood there have been some *huge* changes – migrating the entire blog to a new server, updates and patches, and fixing some of the broken features.
I’ve also integrated a new comment system too that allows readers to comment using their Facebook or Twitter accounts so it should be much easier from now on. Hopefully it won’t be quite so lonely either.
My goal is to make theLightMatters the “go to” site for photographers. There should be something here for you whether your a beginner or a seasoned pro. If not, why not make use of the “Ask Gavin” feature? I want to make this site work for you and that’s a great way of giving the community the content it wants.
As always, your feedback is always very welcome. Don’t hold back, write me a comment.
