Last Tuesday Gavin was awarded the title of Entrepreneur of the Month for May 2013. This was the second time he’s won this prestigious award by the local Entrepreneur’s Circle group, the first being November 2011. On this occasion it was for the innovative use of off-line and dynamic on-line marketing tools to capture client details thereby growing his customer database.
At the meeting on Tuesday, Gavin commented that he was “surprised and privileged to have won the award for a second time. The Entrepreneur’s Circle is a fantastic organisation. It’s taught me so much about positioning my photography business over the last 18 months.”
Gavin runs Gavin Thorn Photography, based in Guildford, Surrey. He specialises in photographing people whether it be a high fashion editorial, CD cover, family portrait or Executive Headshot. His work has been published internationally and last year he was featured in British Vogue. He was trained by some of the biggest names in contemporary portrait and studio photography in the industry today, has worked with some of the finalists from BINTM and was previously the house photographer for a London model agency.
